Hi! My name is Lisa and welcome to my blog! I'm just a communications professional and aspiring writer trying to navigate this topsy-turvy world of adulthood.
I started this blog a few years ago because I a) needed a writing outlet that wasn't fulfilled at work, and b) was feeling a little adrift as I tried to find my way through a life where I was newly responsible for everything and anything in it. Taxes, investing, dating... all of these things are brand new (or new again) when you move into the realm of being a "grown-up".
My generation (or "millenials" as others know us) are quickly being tagged as the "Peter Pan" generation - eternal teenagers who have neither the ability nor the inclination to mark adult milestones at the same rate as those who came before us. We're postponing rites of passage, whether they are moving out of our parents' houses, buying dependable transportation, or even looking to get more than a menial job.
